Network for Mental Health

The Ghram Boeckh Foundation and the Canadian Institutes of Health Research (CIHR) provides $25 million in funding for the creation of a patient-oriented network in adolescent and youth mental health.

As someone personally effected by mental health issues, I appreciate what these guys are doing.  We have an epidemic out there, time to start realizing it.

Increase Self-Confidence

According to Dr. David J. Schwartz's book The Magic of Thinking there are five key ways to increase self confidence.  Keeping in mind I haven't read the book, you should check out the attached site to get a better definition on the five topics and how to pursue them.

I thought it was pretty good.

1. Sit in the Front Row
2. Express Your Opinion
3. Make Eye Contact

4. Walk With Confidence
5. Smile Broadly

Inpire Humanity

Personally...  I have very little faith in humanity.  However, it warms my heart to know there are amazing people out there.  We have 'Random Act of Kindness Day' and Anti-Discrimination months.  Shouldn't we reserve that mindset for everyday life?  For every creature?  And the ground we stand on? After all, unless I missed out on a NASA statement, this is the only planet we've got.

Every one of these people can be my friend.

...  And if you cant imagine yourself falling under a similar category of kindness as any of these people at any given moment in your life...

Shame on YOU.
We all bleed blood.

Psychology of Colour

I love colour...  Who doesn't?
Well lots of people actually.  I work in a paint department at a very reputable home improvement depot.  You'd be amazed at how many people go with beige, tan, cream, taupe, or whatever you want to call it.  Come on people, be your own person.  Take your personality, feelings, and loves in hand and DO something with your home.  For god sakes, it is the one place to express yourself.  When you have dinner parties, you want your guests to see YOU in your home.  Not a potential for sale sign on the lawn...

Stop being afraid of colour.  Use what you love.  You'll never go wrong. :)
As long as you match...
